I have because I often surprise myself, reshaping the idea as I talk about the idea.. which I like but I'm rethinking. The negative responses torment me too much. Suddenly, I'm no longer exploring. I'm in a "have to fix it" mode. Which is not the right headspace to start playing with an idea.

I know it's such a delicate balance! It also depends on who you talk to about the idea as well.

Love this! I have had the same experience of sharing my ideas with such enthusiasm that it depletes all the energy needed to work with the idea and bring it to fruition. I could spend eternity coming up with ideas and wowing people with my creativity, but never completing anything. I'm now firmly in the keep-it-to-myself camp.
